Would not use this in anything but smooth water. The bow and aft are going to leak in rough water and forget doing a rollover!. AND how many folds and unfolds until the joints crack? Almost more of a canoe than kayak.

Might be Ok for crossing a slow moving stream, since easy to stow on your back pack. The only resemblance I see in this as a kayak is sitting on the bottom instead of higher off the bottom like you do in a canoe When sitting in a kayak you are wearing it Your feet fit in a tight cavity to give you control by twisting your upper body. the hole you climb in in many cases is almost a tight seal Some even have rubberized canvas sleeves that have suspenders over your shoulders.
