Here's something from the other side of the pond. The Ford Escort Mk1 is one of the most iconic rally cars. It dominated the sport since its introduction in '68 and left an indelible mark in the rallying world.

Built by mk1ian on PassionFord.com, this first gen comes with the engine that made the Escort a legend - the naturally-aspirated the twin cam. While the original Mk1 had 1600cc engines, this one has a 2100cc powerplant capable of delivering 245 bhp. In the words of the the builder: "I went N/A as its a mk1 escort so should sound like a mk1 escort!" No doubt this pocket rocket runs like one too.
