That's an unusual hammer design (at least for me), GBrackett. Good job!
That was #2 made right after my first one the same day. They started out as square pieces I got off the drop table at one of my suppliers. Wanted a hammer with the weight forward as that design has less impact on your arm. The design has been used all around the world. The Japanese are the ones that get the most credit for a dog face hammer as their bladesmiths use them quite a bit.
