Years ago, and maybe you still can buy, oversized locking plier from HF same shape and design as regular sized locking plier IE Vice-grips. but one was 12" the other was 18 inches. I believe at the time they were Taiwan made I bought 2 pair of the 18inch and 1 of the 12inch all were strong. I never had a complaint when using them.
