Greetz from Germany
Hi Folks,
I'm Thomas from Germany, town of Xanten, next to Netherland.
My profession is electric, I work worldwide as service engineer. (just returned today from India...)
MY machines are 'Lizzy', a 90x300 Compact 300 Sieg type turning machine and a noname chinese 16mm drilling machine with X-Y- tabke, so I can do some small milling, too.
Actually I can do all I need on these machines, but I find out more and more, I love this ****.. ;)
I like to see the vids of all mechanic guys, so Abom79, Keith, Tom and all the others already gave me a lot of tios, THX on this way, too.
Hope to learn here a lot, too.
BR, good success,
Thomas

Hi Thomas - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
What's next on your projects list? Do you see any builds here that you might try?

Hi Jon,
THX for bein part of this group..
actually I've to pimp the X and Y axis drive a bit. now they run on two DC- motors and gears. Power and speed for working are not too bad, but for going back, for working fast and rough, but faster. Si I gor some stepper motors an a driver card.. on the road now very often for the job, so a bit too small time to put it all together...
2nd project is to improve a bit my milling- drilling machine. Found out, that the lower bearing walks off position, when treated with milling forces, so I've to block ist.. either scews, or, clamping harder the spindle.. we'll see..
BR,
Tom
