Grinder Stand
Not really a tool, but a tool accessory. I refurbished a Baldor 500 grinder and needed a stand for it. On my scrap pile was 36" x 8" x 4", 1/4" wall box tube. I also had some 2", 1/4" wall box for the "legs". I capped the ends with 2" angle iron, which were welded on so they would be 1/8" below the rest of the stand. A 1/4" plate was welded to the top for the grinder mount. After paint, I had some vinyl lettering made to finish it off. It's quite heavy, and rock solid.

Jack,
The grinder stand looks great and better built than anything we can buy. I voting this is a great touch to the overall design.

Thats a work of grinder art! I would be proud to own one like that!

Nice looking grinder, what would you say one of these are valued at, I picked one up for $25 and I’m curios. I believe mine in dated 5/46 and almost looks as good as yours but missing one water tray out of two.

They sell for between $250 to $550 used. You got a good deal. By the way, I have a tray to sell. Email me and we can check measurements.
Also have a couple end castings and a table.
