Terrible idea. Many home burglaries start with the burglar gaining entry to the attached garage, where they often find tools to help them break into the main house.
This saves the trouble of doing that, unless of course you reinforce the door and put a dead bolt, preferably a dual cylinder dead bolt to that grocery door.
31 years in law enforcement, saw a couple of these grocery doors used exactly for that purpose. Both houses had alarms systems, but the garage doors and grocery door did not have contacts, AND the homeowners rarely used the alarm system as it was "too much trouble".
