I don't know that I've ever owned a vehicle that didn't have hand operated doors.

That thing those cute girls have just has a lot more useless gimmicks and gadgets to add weight and to fail when you least expect it

Nah they're not THAT dumb...a lot of cars nowadays have some form of keyless entry; all you need to do is have the fob in your pocket and it will unlock when you're nearby.
