Please don't tell me all those great hard drive neodymium magnets are simply thrown away. I'm very willing to buy them.

I can use 50 or 100. They're really good for all sorts of workshop temporary holding jobs like lights and chuck keys etc. Not sure if you're seriously offering Philip but if so please send me a personal message, postage may be an issue as I live in Australia. I'm interested nevertheless.

I have about 20. If you were local, I would let you have them. I hope you will not be disappointed but I can’t envisage posting them to you in Australia! At work, I am given all sorts of apparatus to dismantle, and I take the non ferrous metal to scrap merchants. These are maninly electrical good which have been donated to our local charity.but either have failed safety tests or are reckoned unsaleable. This is really quite time consuming, but I prefer to do this in the evening, it gives me something to do when I can’t work outside. My real work for them is repairing furniture, I used to do site maintenance. So, if you are inclined, you may find a similar opportunity.
The only reason I could see for crushing the drives was to destroy data, individually as scrap I can’t get more than a few pennies for each. What do you do with the discs?

I have 40 or do disks, can consider paying your postage if you want to swap. I've ordered neodymium magnets from Asia before and they haven't arrived, but I must check on any import restrictions. Small magnets are banned because kids can swallow them and compromise intestines although I've imported a 100mm circular 300kg pull magnet and it arrived!
