Headstock spindle for my home made lathe

This is the part 4 of the series of videos showing my metal lathe that I'm making at home. In this part the spindle for the headstock. The spindle is made of components that I designed myself and ordered to a machine shop they made for me. It is a critical part of the machine because the required rigidity.
With hindsight the design could have been better (as always happens :rolleyes: ).
