That's crazy. Guy with a hacksaw and a hobby lathe makes a shrink fit tool holder. I've got all the proper tooling to make that and it would still take me a few stabs at it to get it right.

Who's to say he didn't take several stabs at it before he got close

you don't know how many stabs he took; he doesn't tell you that, pretty small diameter and thin wall it won't expand to much
