Hello!

Hello all, i was referred here by a member of Weapons Guild (great place!). I've become obsessed with DIY and now i want to build a fabrication shop from scratch. I've recently just bought 5 acres and this summer me and my family start to build our earth bag paradise, The Fab shop will be my magnum opus when its finished. This place will be a gold mine for me in the months and years to come and i hope to add as much or more than i take.

What did you have in mind for the shop build?

The whole place is gonna be earth-bags. It will conquer the cold in the winter and the heat from my forge and foundry (Im gonna do a blacksmith shop and a cast iron foundry)and the Summer's heat, plus it will cost next to nothing because if we have one thing up here its dirt! We were just given the house we are in because they are bulldozing it to make way for a pivot sprinkler! Its a stick built house so we plan on salvaging the 2x4's and 2x6's to make geo-dome roofs on all the buildings.I will document this as i go and our current deadline is to move in by Fall of 2017. Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm sure you will see much of this site's projects as the inspiration for a good deal of my paradise.

Earth bags, interesting! Cost-effective too. Looking forward to the pics. :)
