Hello Everyone!
Hello Everyone,
I like to work with my hands building, repairing and of course breaking things while trying to fix them:lol::lol::lol:
I dabble in carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing work and just about anything.
I hope to learn skills that will make working with my hands easier and share any of my ideas.
My wife and I are both college grad's from UMass, Boston in the mid 70"s. I'm happily married with two adult children, daughter and son, both graduated from college, Boston College and Boston University.
My other interest include: knife collecting and the repair and customization of knives, music, reading, outdoor activities and spending time with my family.

Hi John,
Welcome! :welcome:
Which new skills are you hoping to pick up next? What's pending on your build list?

Hi Ken,
At this time I am repairing a knife. It's a slant bolster, Jndiana brand, that needs a new spring and bolsters. It's a vintage knife from the 60's. One bolster was missing so I'm making four new ones from nickel silver bar stock. The spring is broken and the knife will not open automatically as it was made to do. I'll be repairing the original spring.
I'm interested in learning anything that will make my projects easier to do. Any ideas, tools, tips, etc is what I'm looking for at this time. Advice is always good too.
I'll post photo's later today of my knife project.
Thank you for welcome note,
John
