Hi Ducati250Single - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
Glad you jumped in! How is the rod bender build going?
Hi Ducati250Single,
Welcome! :welcome:
As a Ducatisto myself, I'm curious about your username. Let's see some pics of your bike!
Ken
Here's a pic of it as a flatracker, the way purchased it, not all there in this pic but you et the idea. I'm in the process of making it street legal again, it was missing all those things I need now.
Very cool! What's your restoration plan? Going back to factory stock or something else? Can't wait to hear it fire for the first time!
Ken
I'd like to put it back stock, but you know how expensive DUCATI parts are, especially something 50 years old...her birthday is this year.:D
Yup, vintage Duc parts (especially NOS) are pricey, but it could always be worse, right? Could be Ferrari!
Ken
What model you ride Ken?
Love to see a picture.
I recently sold my Multistrada 1200 and am mulling my next Duc. A friend is selling a 999 with <50 miles (fully restored), but my back and wrists are not up to that committed riding position anymore. If age wasn't enough, the Multi spoiled me completely with its comfy, upright seating and superbike power. That's going to be difficult to top. I'm thinking about a Monster 1200S.
Any suggestions? :)
Ken
I have back and wrist issues also...getting old is rough. I've had some type of motorcycle for 45 years and I'll never stop riding as long as I can walk.
Then it'll be time for a trike!
Welcome to the forums, Ducati250Single! :welcome: That bike shows promise. Looking forward to seeing it restored.
Thank you DIYer. Its great to be here!
