I've no idea of the set up in Canada but perforated sheet and strip is pretty much a stock item at many steel suppliers here in NZ. The only time I needed some stamped in a particular pattern for some advertising shop stands I had to put a minimum order of 10 sheets to make it viable but in that case I was making 5000 stands so the cost was minimal.
Strip comes in standard widths, patterns, thickness and materials here,(metrickery), and up to 3000 Meter coils. You could try contacting a large steel supply firm, Agricultural supplies,(shaker/soil removers), and also look under architectural building supply as SS perforated sheet is used often in shades, dividers and feature pieces.
Awesome! Each post replying to my OP has been really helpful! I've already learned so much. What thickness of SS sheet do y'all recommend for this project? What minimum thickness is easy to weld for this project? Bot for the reciprocating basket and the funnel
