so im a 36 yr old hobby machinist from ont, canada
i own an AA109 that needs to be pretty much stripped and rebuilt everytime i chuck a part for any kind of hope for precision.
A homemade horizontal/vertical mill that resembles a senior tom with gout. lol
a Gingery mill that ive been working on for a year now. its nearing completion which means im almost ready to start fab on stronger more modern parts.
2 or 3 welders mig stick no gas for tig
torches
project list is infinite, off the top of my head
bigger lathe i have a vickers pump that ive gutted to use as the headstock unfortunately my last 2 attemps at a steady rest to be able to turn the size of spindle needed have been hardscore failures so there it sits on the floor
Another benchtop vertical mill-igot some steppers and a cnc shield for the arduino to drive the gingery mill however not the right mill to convert to cnc and so i have some extrusion, made a spindle that runs on 120v ac wired through relay to be driven by arduino. i have a frame however unhappy with the sloppyness of the x,y axis and the project has been halted for research and development
steady rest for 109
bed for bigger lathe i have a drawing that i feel should work just waiting for the right size scrap to hit the scrap bin at work
well thats all i got for now cheers
