Hi all
Really pleased to be an " old" member of this site. Started off as an apprentice electrician called up for national service in the Royal Air Force (in full) & was trained on ground radar CPN 18? was 1 of them, American radar, demobbed in 1963. I am interested in everything to do with using your hands but my main interest is woodturning .I have passed this site on to members of my club, Border Woodturners, who I thought may be interested. I live in the Norhwest of the UK near the city of Carlisle & 5mls from the village of Gretna Green on the Scottish Borders

Hi spiderweb - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
Sounds like you have a lifetime of experience to share. Any specific woodturning or other homemade tools you're looking to build?

Hi Tel,
Welcome - we're very glad to have you here! :welcome:
As an old (-ish) pilot, flight instructor, and aircraft homebuilder, I'd love to hear about that vintage radar. Range, primary mission/application, etc. Anything you remember really. Feel free to PM me directly.
Lots of woodturners around here who'll be glad to see your work and tools.
When you're ready to share some of your own homemade tools, we'd love to see them. Please post them directly in the Homemade Tools subforum. We'll add each one to the database, as well as to your builder page on the site.
Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.
