    One of the reasons to not use PVC in gas pressure or a fireworks tubes. It shatters into sharp pieces that the above machine and x-rays don't see. If you're going to be perforated, best do it with steel that is easy to find and remove.

    I wonder about the plastic tips on modern hollow points, especially the red ones. How do you find those while dissecting your specimen?

    Dependent on specimen, it's so common for a projectile to pass thru after expansion, and some have a bit of cavity behind said ballistic tip. It could be located in ballistic gel, somewhat readily.

    Yeah…they don’t use that in surgery. Never seen that in 30 years.
