Home made drill press
Hallo everybody.
I signed to this forum to show one of my homemade tools.
Its a drill press that I built on my own plans with a little bit of help of my father in love (my wifes dad) on milling machine and lathe. Maybe its not a 100 % homemade, but I wanted a perfect precision so that I could make some other projects based on it.
Unfortunately, I don't have much pictures and videos, because I was too lazy to take it while working, but I made a quick video of building. I will not write too much of it, so if you have samo additional questions, I will answers to it.

Pretty powerful and rigid drill press where your demo video of drilling a 12mm hole in steel looked like drilling through butter. Nice workshop addition.

Thanks for comments and thanks. Its a 10,2 mm drill bit, not 12 mm, first that I took from box :) But still shows power of drill, because there is no pilot hole with smaller diameter made before, only centered with centered drill bit as I always do when drilling something.
This motor comes from an old circular saw and only needed to change bearings (as written in video).
Future plans for drill press is xy table and perhaps converting to mill with appropriate bearings and chuck, but this will wait until I go back to my home.
