Home made grinder

I needed a heavy duty grinder that would not slow down when grinding pieces for welding or cleaning rust and scale off. It has a heavy old 1/2 HP electric motor. I purchased the arbor assembly from my hardware store.
The base is a flywheel from an old buzz saw welded to a 3" pipe.
I made it 20 years ago and have not had any problem with it.

That thing has serious injury written all over it. You may have been lucky for 20 yrs, but it will catch up with you one day.
