I hadn't thought of cutting polycarbonate with it. We're going to have a bunch to cut when we move into our new house in Krasnodar Krai.
Do this outdoors! You don't want to inhale the fumes. Also, be prepared for flames if you have the wire too hot.
Thanks for the tip - haven't tried my Kanthal A1 wire cutter on PC, I always use mask since I turned a teflon skillet in the lathe-
those fumes were absolutely revolting and a probable bird killer to boot:
Apparently parakeets have folded when someone burnt a teflon skillet in the kitchen...
