When I converted a drill press to a mill I learned that drill press head castings are too light and they vibrate too much under the heavy milling loads.
Yeah I'm sure you are right. That's another challange for me I guess. Probably only going to do small milling work.:agree:

Good luck with your build. Mine wasn't useful for any significant milling work because of the vibration so it's been relegated to a precision drilling station and I bought a Grizzly mini mill that I use for its' intended purpose.
