Hose Reel Mounting Bracket -- Tight Clearance

Over the last few weeks I've been working on a hose reel bracket to mount a large hose reel at the front center of the garage. The hose reel will site between the two front garage doors and has to clear the door tracks. I recessed the hose reel up in to the truss bay....

The first step was to shear out some pieces of steel on the Piranha Iron Worker. Luckily I had some steel left over from another project.

Then I punched some holes and changed out to the press brake. I bent the two offset flanges.

Next up was some drilling at tapping of holes for mounting the hose reel to the bracket. I didn't get any pictures of that process. Altho here is a video of tapping holes from one of my other projects:

Then it was on to welding it together. I used my Hobart Beta-Mig that I got on craigslist awhile back. It's a bit of a tank, but it seems to work well for heavy welding... it beats the Century 110 flux core welder....

After the welding was done, I sandblasted it and then painted it.

Since it was a used hose reel, I did some light cleanup before installation. I also had to thread a hose into it and clamp it appropriately.

I was able to get the hose reel to hang on one piece of unistrut and then insert the second one on the other side.

I still need to put the cover on it, then the hose stopper before I can hook up the supply line.
