    That is one of the new front springs I ordered for my old Ford to beef up the front end.

    When I have to paint I use KBS products

    Why is it that the old guy is doing the muscle work and the kids are running the machine?
    Or are they all the same age and the one looks older because he is doing all the muscle?

    because it is his shop, notice when he opens the furnace door he inspects to insure the bar is ready for being made into a spring.
    All the younger guys have to do is make sure the bar gets locked into the machine.

    In the late 80’s I worked at National Springs. In the rail coil section we used to monitor a process machine that made coils springs from 4” bar stock. It was a two day process to make five such coils, from x-raying the bar stock putting every fifth coil into a destruction testing press.
