How to connect a shop vac hose to a 4" dust chute on a table saw

Hello everyone. I bought a new table saw a little while ago and unfortunately found it was set up only to connect to a 4" dust collection system. Like most DIYers I don't have a big fancy 4" dust collection system and just use a shop vac. The table saw did not come with an adapter to connect to a shop vac hose, so I had to find an inexpensive solution to connect my shop vac hose directly to the dust chute. You may even have what I used to make this connection laying around in your junk box in your garage. You can use this solution even if you are using a homemade dust collector with a shop vac. The table saw shown in this video is a Ridgid brand saw, but it should work on just about any brand saw or really on any type of power tool that has a a 4" port. Jon, love the suggestion. Now all I need to do is make 10-20 tips and tricks videos and I’ll make the mashup happen.
