How to cut and machine glass

Most of the toolmakers that i know with 20 years experience have a glass cutting tool in there tool box
I was surprised when I asked on social media that almost no one had a glass cutter in there toolbox
So I made a video how to cut plate glass and what happens when you try to cut tempered glass
and how glass is machined to make parts for example an iphone

I have a foolproof way to shatter glass - let me try to cut it. I have a nearly perfect record of ruining glass I'm trying to cut.

I learned about cutting tempered glass when I was about 12. I was trying to cut a piece of glass from an old TV ( old CRT, pre flat screen). It looked like the last out take,until I finally gave it one last try, then it looked like when he tried to cut tempered glass!

Very helpful, I NEVER SEEM TO GET THAT GREAT "SCORE" SOUND and the result - broken glass. Is there any way to CUT tempered glass? Thanks - Nick79

I'm gonna get one of those diamond scribes. I've heard of using a sandblaster to cut tempered glass - like for a car with a chopped top. Using the setup at funeral monument carving places.
