How to delete posted photos?

While editing a post I attempted to remove photos previously posted (their orientation was incorrect). When I deleted their links in the text the photos moved to the bottom of the post as attached thumbnails. I also tried deleting them in the advanced settings. Can anyone assist please, I do not want to clutter the site with unnecessary images.

Are you seeing a "manage attachments" option?

Yes Jon. The "manage attachments" option is visible and I can select the .jpg images, but have been unable to delete them.

OK, after clicking "Manage Attachments", hover over the image you'd like to delete. An "X" should appear after you hover; then just click the X to delete. Should look something like this:

Are you seeing a "manage attachments" option?

On my machine (Mac OS10.14, Safari) Click "Edit Post" then "Go Advanced" and the Manage Attachment button is near the bottom.
