Hi Gang:
I was stuck on a service trail once and used this method to free my pickup. Jack up a corner and then drive off the jack letting that wheel fall on higher ground. Once or twice did the trick. Way better than taking a tow truck off road. ( Not as exciting as leaving the truck in gear, getting out to push and then jumping back in to stop.)
