Without watching around 3 1/2 hours of video I'm going to say, from experience, that is a very PUNY log splitter. Looking at the size of the the cylinder & the hose sizing, I'm saying that splitter will not split any wood with knots. I see from the photo of the last video that it seems to do a pretty good job of some straight grained wood but I will challenge him to split 30" diameter by 36" long spruce. But whatever works for you is what I say.
