Hi juancito - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

I'm wondering what various tools you could make from a dentist's chair. Is it in good shape?

You probably do not have any "heavy" material so a light press at best but the mechanicals/hydraulics would be fun to play around with.

Hi, I begun with a new hobby, jewelry, and with a very nice kind of work, named Mekume gane, and need a press to begin the process.

Interesting. I had not heard of this process. More info:

Mokume-gane (木目金 Mokumegane) is a Japanese metalworking procedure which produces a mixed-metal laminate with distinctive layered patterns. Mokume gane translates closely to "wood grain metal" or "wood eye metal", describing the way the metal takes on the appearance of natural wood grain.[1]
