If this wasn't a stagged for publicity event, it was a complete waste of responder's recourses and time, spray any type of lubricant liquid on the seat supports and the child's leg, Sunscreen dishwashing liquid body wash hand lotion virtually anything, Pick the child up and straighten out the leg then slide out the end of the seat separation. Far too many people have no business even having children if they are going to panic every time a child sniffles or gets a skinned knee, they call the EMT's or other first responders for a band-aid or a Kleenex tissue,

Also, at the location where this occurred, the staff may have been instructed to never attempt rescues themselves lest the blood sucking lawyers descend. Always call the professionals. The need for good samaritan legislation is a particularly sad comment on the rapacious public.
