I've been fixing stuff for 60 years in various buildings & cars. I professionally repaired typewriters and some other office equipment
for 10 years. I know enough to unplug any electronic device before I declare it broken. I have occasionally made or modified
tools for these purposes. Never anything like the beautiful things you guys make, though.
