I'm New

Hi Everyone,

I'm a knifemaker (situated near Johannesburg, South Africa) and I'm soon going to start forging my own pattern welded (some would say Damascus) steel. Part of the fun of this project is to design and build my own 20+ ton hydraulic press.

I discovered this site whilst looking for ideas and detailed specifications and look forward to any ideas you may have

I was wondering where to find them. I'm not so good at finding my way around sites such as these and your help is appreciated.

I have my basic design in my head and am now finalising quotes for power packs and controls. Hope to make a start next month.
