I'm retired and can't afford to buy some of the more costly tools.

I was on Pinterest and can across a pic of tool makers mini jaws; this is a good idea. This pointed me to here, so when I need a tool that I can't afford just maybe someone may be able to help me find plans to make the tool.

I'm currently unable to build or even buy anything at this time do to personal issues (my wife decided to divorce me back on 11/2014 and yes the divorce is still not over. The judge is finally sending us to a Mandatory Settlement Conference at the end of the month. Once we go through this we finally go to trial, but when I have no idea.). Once, the dust clears I plan on buying some land in AZ. The first thing to get built will be a shop with a small apartment; the shop size will depend on how much support money I’m forced to pay.

I would like to set up a machine and wood shop. I figure will need a 40ft X 60ft workshop. I have a 1925 Henderson Deluxe motorcycle that needs to be completely restored and an 1988 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail I'd like to make into a bobber. My brother likes make things out wood. We both like the old wooden Chris-Craft boats so we're thinking about building a wooden boat.

I'd like to get a good metal lathe, mill and a used vertical CNC machine. I'd also like to get an English wheel, Sheet Metal Brake, Sheet Metal Shear, Planishing Hammer, and a bunch of hand tools. I'll let my brother figure out what would working tools we'll need.

    Hey Footclutch,
What part of AZ are you headed for? I am in Southern AZ and it is a lot more tolerable in the summer due to our elevation (~5000) than the big cities of Tucson and Phoenix. If you have a shop there you will need insulation and AC to spend any time working on projects during the day.
