You can get very cheap induction heaters from any of the usual scumbags. I have a tiny little 12v heater (unknown wattage) and a much bigger 1000 watt (variable voltage) unit. Looks like there are 2000 watt units for between $60 and $80. Just a quick tip, if you're trying to power them up don't put them on a bench power supply and slowly increase the voltage because you're afraid they'll explode. Apparently they require the "kick" from the power supply turning on to start oscillating.

1000 watts won't heat anything nearly as fast as in the video, but you can still easily heat things up to be red hot.

Yup. There are even special bolt remover induction heater wands. It's just like a stick with a bunch of different coils you can put at the end to get into different places. They're like $250 - $300. I've never used one, but I've been drooling over them on Aliexpress for a while.

A mechanic friend of mine has one of those sold by one of the bigger name tool suppliers that I have borrowed a few times. The thing is super handy and very effective. Heats a nut up to red heat within 20 or 30 seconds. No open flame of a torch and restricts the heat pretty much to just where you need it. It's a really useful tool for those occasions when you need such a thing.

I'm right there with you. I did a quick google search and this one popped up on Amazon. There is a great video along with pictures. The video gives a great description of how to use the tool. As well as how not to use it. I'm adding it to my list of wants!
