Did someone say injection molds? While a member of that industry, often commented that a particular item was "made in a mold". It became a byword, at least within our small circle. I'm sure it gave perspective to people just what mass production is; both extremes of positive and negative. Injection molds represent a distinct class of tooling, with precision rivaling far more critical products.
There was satisfaction in that particular company, knowing we made products for the long haul. Only the largest private molding company (at that time) in the world, second in production overall to Rubbermaid. Their father started out in a garage; Hollywood, CA.
