This looks cool. My BIL lives near Boulder CO, which has lots of hailstorms, apparently (all the auto body places have big signs advertising their hail damage work). I forwarded him the pool noodle link earlier in the thread; he's considering implementing it to protect his solar panels.

We had a hail storm here in October last year with 30mm hailstones. Almost every roof in town is being replaced. I don’t think this could handle that kind of ferocity.
