I am currently building a hydraulic loader for the front of garden tractor. Always on the lookout for anything that will hone my skills a bit sharper, This looks to be a place that will do it.

Hi ave13co,
Welcome! :welcome:
OK, you know we're going to need some pics of your loader project, right?
What else are you working on at the moment?
Ken
Hi ave13co - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
Looking forward to the details on that hydraulic loader; sounds like a great project!
Its going to take a while. I am retired and can only buy a little bit at a time. The hydraulics are simple with 4 cylinders and a 3 position 2 spool open centered spring centered directional control valve with power beyond(to add a mini hoe later) and a 6 gpm pump.
I have always been an operator ,mechanic, timber faller and never did really get into welding very much...so I am currently graduating from bugger welds to more refined welds(thanks to watching MANY youtube videos) and thanks to my Hobart 187. I had a Harbor Freight 90 amp welder but very quickly found out that it was total junk and threw it in the dumpster after first use of the Hobart. I have finished welding up the bucket and will be buying enough steel for the rest of the project soon.
That's a cool project, ave13co. Looking forward to seeing it, and welcome to the forums! :welcome:
