I just signed up after stumbling across this website trying to find ideas on how to build a small versatile sanding/polishing machine.... started already many times and .. always stalled ...

What for... well, last time I refurbished an old watch case, I spent many hours going through multiple steps of ever finer sand paper by hand ... and I guess, with some simple tool, that process should be significantly faster ...
