Hi Smokey - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
What's next up on your projects list?
Welcome to the forums, Smokey! :welcome: That's an interesting hobby you have. :)
Hi Smokey,
Welcome! :welcome:
That's a great hobby! I did a fair amount of 3-gun years ago and have been thinking about getting into cowboy action though I'm still in procrastination mode. Lots of new stuff to buy…
What sort of gunsmithing are you doing? If you have any pics of your work, we'd love to see 'em.

Action jobs, cartridge conversions on cap & ball pistols. My boys and I have been building some ar's with 80% lowers, those have been fun. Don't know how to post pics but will get one of the grandkids to show me. Lol
Working on a saddle stand with a hold down for a friend who's a leathersmith by hobby but very good at it
I've been thinking about trying one of those 80% lowers myself. Do you need a mill to finish it, or will a drill press suffice?
Ken
drill press works fine. takes about 2 1/2 hours to do one
drill press works fine. takes about 2 1/2 hours to do one. the trick to them is to get a good jig. seems like the more guide holes in the jig the better
