Introduction

Hi folks, greetings from South Louisiana. I am a recovering woodworking addict of 20 years who has pretty much kicked the habit by getting heavily involved with metalworking - lathe & mill for 6 years. I am now about to get started in making knives. Lord help me, here we go again.

We have a 12-step program here for recovering addicts here. Of course, steps 1 through 12 are all "build more tools". :D

How is the knifemaking going? Have you made your first blade yet?

Thank you Jon. I appreciate it. The knife making is getting there but I'm in the process of building a belt grinder so it will be a while yet. I am looking at plans on the site and reading tips from the members. I'll let you know when I have 1 finished. Might be a while yet, thank you.
