Introduction
Forum says i have to do an intro post. The name is Cedric. Currently I am looking for ideas to build a tire changer. The goal is to first go with a hitch mount so I can use it on my Pathfinder. I am thinking I want to also make it operate with an electric impact wrench instead of only manual for the bead breaker. What do experienced people think about the fully manual bead breaker and the ease of use?

Hi cedric671 - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
Great project. Here's a search for "bead breaker" on our site, if you haven't seen those already: Homemade Tools Search: bead breaker . Also I would recommend starting a new discussion in the Tools in progress subforum to collect some member ideas.

Hi Cedric,
Welcome! :welcome:
A hitch-mounted tire changer is great and useful thing. Are you looking to change the Pathfinder's tires or simply to have a mobile unit for motorcycle tires? Big difference in tool capacity there…
Have you seen any designs (or design elements) that appeal to you yet?
