Introduction

Howdy! I'm new to homemade toolmaking, and am thinking about building a hydraulic machine press. I picked up a free used weight bench from craigslist, and am working on a design using a bottle jack, and the steel available in the weight bench. Glad to see some of the ideas in this forum.

Nice job snagging that weight bench; those are a great source for free metal for tool frames! A similar strategy can get you a free treadmill, and then you get a bunch of free goodies.
