Hi everyone. I'm a hobbyist welder and fabricator looking to learn more about the craft and hopefully help others if I can. I've used all kinds of shop and field jigs over the years as a carpenter that were made quick-and-cheap out of necessity and the want to keep my work quality high, and am looking to learn crafty ways to make tools I can use in the metal world to save a few pennies along the way. Fab tools are nutty expensive! I've worked in the trades as a carpenter and moved into the technology world to pay the bills.
When I'm not at work, I like to work in my shop, tinker with bikes, and do some side carpenter work for extra cash when there is time. Currently I'm working on fabricating my first chopper frame. Just finishing up the wishbone backbone joints and looking forward to beginning the down tubes, axle plates, and steering neck.
I also play music in a band named Audiotourism in Central Florida. My goal is to eventually add a decent mill and lathe to my shop and build some machining skills too. Looking forward to learning from you all.![]()
