It's Whistlin diesel... that's what he does.... makes stupid sh!t for "wheels" that go on diesel trucks, and tears stuff up. It's all for the youtube views to generate revenue. The more people that watch, engage by making comments, then youtube suggests it more to other people, generating even more views.
Youtube makes money from advertising, and companies advertise to get their products/services in front of people... so the more views that a video has, the more people that are forced to see their advertising. Then youtube passes on some small portion of the advertising revenue to the content creator.

I used to get some advertising revenue from my videos in the early days of youtube. They have since increased the requirements in terms of # of subscribers, watch time per period of time, etc. It is much more difficult to generate revenue on youtube now.
But people like Whistlin Diesel and others do outrageous content to generate the views.

I generally stay away from this type of content since it really isn't much better than clickbait. I only clicked on the first video to confirm that it was Whistlin Diesel.

Yeah, platform decay, or, per Wikipedia: enshittification. It's definitely hit YouTube.

All the lame places on the internet used to be really useful and cool. Even Facebook. Just five years ago Reddit was still intellectually valid and thought-provoking. Amazon is gradually Walmart-ifying these days. Etsy is half Alibaba now.

There are still good pockets on all of those platforms, especially if you know how to use them, but they follow that same pattern.

DIY forums have been the safest haven for genuine interactions over the past 30+ years. The exodus from Facebook and the current rise of "membership sites" (largely forums) is like a cyber-reactionary movement that is rejecting that common enshittification cycle.
