I recall an early version, 70's-ish semingly in all the aircraft subcontractor shops. Logically, the artist contrived this illustrating frequent disconnects from engineering, the production shop, and assembly lines.
Thankfully, the chart progressed with new fixes. I'll refrain posting judgments on how real it now appears...
My favorites; the substantial sized fasteners hiding insufficient connections, and hex heads to twiddle while looking busy.

Pretty sure I've sen real-life versions of that DIN-90 'adjustable length' screw...
You're right on the DIN-910 screw! The 12-24 screws used for mounting rim lock cylinders are made like that, to be snapped off to the desired length needed for the situation.Originally Posted by bruce.desertrat
A few others exist in reality as well, being former Army Ordnance, I'm familiar with explosive bolts (DIN-893)!
