Into boat building, sailing for 50yrs, 10yrs into a widebody tolman skiff, and nearing completion. I am looking for my next project which I think will be a strip planked 12ft Riff. I am always looking for jigs and safer ways of using my tools. With the Riff project coming up and perhaps a stripped canoe as well Looking to power feed my router table. - Any help down this road would be a blessing - les

Hi les - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
I hope you've seen our new BoatBuilds.net site. :)
Are you looking to build something like this? Home Built Router Power Feed

its kinda getting there, but this one has limitations in that there is only one feed roller, should have one on the outside feed of the cutter as well. Exploring the use of using 2 garage door motors with a wheel each. They are high torque 12v very similar to a windscreen wiper motor. quite small in size with right angle drive with mounting plates. Motors come with power supply as they are a 12v unit running 240 volt. I'm in no hurry, but 1st chance I get, I will be off to the garage door guy to see if he has any for re purposing.
