I am a retired information technologist who designed and implemented computer centric systems. I have a good knowledge of Office 2013 and know several programming languages. I taught myself SketchUp and am pretty adept at using it to plan woodworking projects.

I am also a mostly a self-taught woodworker. I like to build furniture and started out building things I could not afford to buy. My main projects have been building Queen Anne reproductions - rewarding but also very time consuming! Currently, I build practical furniture my wife wants and I am always looking for new ideas for self-built tools and jigs.
