Getting my wood carving knives sharp has become an obsessive task since I must be sharpening "challenged". I believe I have tried no less than a dozen combinations of tools and techniques, but that "wire edge" always seems to elude my best efforts. Frustration pushes me beyond my limits and I start to round over an edge or something and still own - knives that are not sharp. I guess I just need to devote more time to technique. Your "system looks great but I doubt I can replicate your results. So - nice job and I envy your sharp blades.
