Knipex Pliers Wrench Cheater Bar for Double the Leverage

The clamping force of the Knipex pliers wrench is amazing but with the short size of the 150 model, it can be difficult to take full advantage. By making this simple cheater bar, you can get similar performance to the 250 model out of the smaller 150 model that fits in your pocket.

I have all of these pliers too. You have me thinking of making something similar. Thanks for sharing the idea.

I picked up the 450mm smooth jaws on Amazon.de two years ago on sale for $84. They are monsters.

I found a 3-inch long brass bearing in my junk drawer. The wall thickness is about 0.1-inches. The bore was hopelessly scored yet it works perfectly as a cheater bar for my Knipex pliers. It is a nice, close fit without tearing up the plastic.

When I turn a nut, the wrench has full contact on the flats. That is so much better than the loose fit I get from an adjustable wrench.

Thanks, projectswithrich, for a great idea.
